The holidays are here and with it comes lots and lots of baking! It can be very stressful sometimes when you have a lot of cookies to make for friends and family, and sometimes disasters are inevitable. Hopefully, though, I can help a little to avoid those disasters with some holiday baking tips to make your cookies a success!

Delicious Russian Tea Cakes

Russian Tea Cakes, Mexican Wedding Cakes, Noel Nut Balls....whatever you wanna call these things, one thing's for sure- They are DELICIOUS!!! These are the cookies I was supposed to make for my cookie exchange. They are so simple and I love the slightly sweet/salty flavor they have.

A friend of mine asked me the other day about some stuff she had bought to put on cupcakes for her daughter's birthday.

Apple Cake FAIL

Okay, so I was going to make a video on apple spice cake. Well, I actually DID make a video, but the results were less than stellar. I had tried a new recipe and it was very unimpressive, and I felt it would be a waste to share it with you because I will never be using that recipe again, and I wouldn't want to pass it on. The good news is, though, that I got a little practice on camera (Mark was laughing at me because of how nervous I was, lol). So I will try to make an actual video soon that would be beneficial for all of us. ;)

So I know that Halloween has come and gone, but I've made some cute little cupcakes that I'd like to share with you!

In The Beginning....

Hi There! :) My name is Kailee and I've decided to document my journey to opening a domestic bakery. A domestic bakery means I will have my personal kitchen licensed to work out of my home to sell baked goods. Since I live in an apartment right now and don't have a lot of space, I hope to start out by selling goods to local coffee shops for resale. After we buy a house, I would like to do celebrations, as I specialize in cupcakes.

I just found out that I would be able to do this in my apartment after being under the impression that I couldn't for the longest time, so this is very exciting for me! I hope to have everything up and running by springtime. Meanwhile, I will try to keep you updated on how things are going as far as getting licensed, and bring you along on my baking adventures!
